Laughter Yoga Benefits
It's fun. It's social, bringing people together. The health benefits are many. Laughter Yoga has the power to change your mood within minutes by releasing endorphins in the brain. Laughter strengthens the immune system. It increases blood pressure and relaxes the muscles. It reduces stress - the number one killer in today's society. It helps to reduce pain.
What do we do?
We initiate laughter as an exercise in a group, but with eye contact and childlike playfulness. Exercises are combined with yogic breathing - this brings more oxygen to the body and the brain - that's where you start to reap the health benefits.
We play games and talk gibberish - a joyful way to connect with others. Play is just as pivotal for adults as it is for children. It brings joy, unleashes inhibitions and reduces stress.
